Building a new collaboration environment to share insights globally
TFT is a global non-profit organization that helps companies and communities deliver responsible products. TFT act on the ground in forests, farms and factories to help create products that respect the environment and improve people’s lives.
With more than 16 locations and 260 employees, TFT works with members, partners and projects across global supply chains.
In 2016, TFT was looking for a partner to find a new way to collaborate in using video conferencing and application sharing anytime and everywhere. “We launched a tender and realize a benchmark to find the best suitable solution for our cosmopolite organisation. Our main reasons were to reduce travelling, save costs and time and increase the balance between work and home life. The two KPIs were human and financial values.”, introduced Catharina Plummer, Director Finance & HR at TFT.
Six sites were involved in the global project in order to improve the collaboration: Nyon, Southampton, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Semarang and Seattle.
“The Webex CMR (Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms) associated with 6 high definition Telepresence SX20 Quick Set were selected because they support key features including easy-to-use video meetings, sharing document and desktop, chatting, … Online meetings held by management and staff is now becoming simple, comprehensive and easy to use”, explains Catharina.
The innovative solution was Implemented by Activeo. “Thanks to the customer-oriented and skilled engineers, the project was successfully delivered within agreed cost, time and quality constraints.
In the next few months, TFT will extend the global solution internally and externally as well in order to improve the relationship with members and stakeholders. This will enable more users to take advantage of the global collaboration solution in the organization and continue to improve team performance” concludes Catharina Plummer.
